New Alternative to Arachnophilia

Here is the download page, located on the Evrsoft website....sorry mac owners, but Im working on finding something better for you as well! But this is for Windows users only. This is a free editor, but you can upgrade to a paid version which has extra features.

I have put together an 8 page quickstart guide for this editor. Just the basics are discussed (such as opening and saving files, using the most common functions etc) but it should be more than enough to get you started in the right direction. 8 page PDF file, 163kb.

Example of what you can do

I went to Insert/Online photogallery/album. I then browsed to the folder of images I wanted (no need to resize them first!). Then I hit the generate button, and waited. That's it. A perfect photo gallery was generated for me....I can just put those pages into my site. Of course i might make some changes like white font, and a black background first. Take a look below.

Is that easy enough? there are also some neat functions such as rollover images, popup maker, slideshows and a heap more. I havent explored it thoroughly yet, but I like what I've found so far.

So please do try it out. Let me know what you think. The more feedback I get from those that use it, the better I am able to reach a conclusion....is this a good alternative to Arachnophilia? So far, Im leaning towards "yes".

Downside to Evrsoft 2006

• No version for Macs
• Nag screen is REALLY annoying!
• Inclined to freeze on some systems
• A few dodgy scripts used in the javascript library
• Little or no support
