Tabbed Horizontal Navbar

Internet Explorer Issue

IE has a slight issue,with not showing the background hover effect. The link turns color, but background doesn't change. If you are viewing this page with IE, then you probably wonder why I say that, as it should be working. That is because I have changed my doctype to xhtml transitional. It was html 4.01 transitional, and that is what causes the issue (I think).

If you are already using xhtml, then you have no worries. If you use html 4,01 (such as is used in my capped width fluid template) then you have 3 choices.

  1. Don't worry about it, you might not have the link hover, but usability isn't affected at all.
  2. Change to XHTML (watch out for different display behaviour, in that case)
  3. Find a way yourself to make it work with html 4.01
Note that the current page will display a different tab, handy for vistors to see at a glance where they are. All you need to do is download the zipped file which contains the 3 images that make up the tabs and background, as well as the PDF with instructions for installing.

Right click on the link, and choose "save link as" to Download the zip file(32kbs)
